Paul L. Hosfelt, age 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Saturday, July 11, 1931, in Hopewell Township, the son of the late Paul C. and Goldie Mae (Johnson) Hosfelt. Paul retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 29 years. He had also worked for SKF for 18 years. He started farming in 1960 and continued until 1981. He attended Family Worship Center in Mechanicsburg. He was an ordained minister of True Church Full Gospel Ministry. He was a member of Shippensburg American Legion and VFW. He was also a member of South Newton Township Fire Company. Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served as a corporal in the US Army serving in Korea from 1952 to 1954. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Beryl I. (Koser) Hosfelt. He is also survived by his daughter, Paula E. and husband Myles Maravich of Shippensburg, three sons, Roger L. Hosfelt of Carlisle, Ricky L. and wife Cindy Hosfelt of Shippensburg, Robert C. Hosfelt and companion Jennifer of Shippensburg, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Freda C. Fahnestock of Mount Holly Springs. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 7 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Shippensburg with Pastor Wayne Wheeler officiating. Burial with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 223 will be conducted in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to South Newton Township Fire Company, 16 Firehouse Road, Walnut Bottom, PA 17266.
