Adrian L. Slaybaugh

Adrian L. Slaybaugh, 84, of Aspers, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the York Hospital. He was born February 16, 1940, in Gettysburg, the son of the late J. Hoke and Pauline (Haines) Slaybaugh.

Adrian attended Biglerville High School. He worked as a mechanic at several area garages in addition to owning and operating his own gas station. He then worked at Schindler Elevator Corp. and after retirement in 2002, continued to work at Duffy Motts and Totally Stainless. He also co-owned J&A Toys along with his wife. He loved gospel music, trains, cars, and spending time with his family.

Adrian is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joyce E. (Arnsberger) Slaybaugh of Aspers; sons, Jay Slaybaugh and wife, Jennifer of Aspers, Keith Slaybaugh and wife Bev of Sevierville, TN, Craig Slaybaugh and wife Kris of Waynesboro, and daughter, Melissa Holsopple and husband Mark of Red Lion; grandchildren, Heidi Day, Megan Myers, Erica Slaybaugh, Mallory Liggitt, Brandon Slaybaugh, Caitlyn Malone, Ryan Slaybaugh, and Autumn Slaybaugh; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jackie Millhimes and husband, Bill of New Oxford. In addition to his parents, Adrian was preceded in death by his son, Scott Slaybaugh, and granddaughter, Jennifer (Slaybaugh) Vaughn.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 officiated by Pastor Victor Johnson.
