Alliene Elizabeth Coleman December 26, 1933 – January 21, 2026
Alliene Elizabeth Coleman went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was dearly loved by her husband of 71 years, John Coleman, and will be deeply missed by her five children: John Coleman (Lisa) of Pleasanton, Texas; Suzanne Wilson (Steve) of Claymont, Delaware; David Coleman (Karen) of Gettysburg; Annette Bolio (Eric) of Fieldale, Virginia; and Sam Coleman (Rachael) of Riverton, Utah. She was a cherished grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, a proud great-grandmother of seven, and blessed to welcome one precious great-great-grandchild.
Born on December 26, 1933, in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, to Jerome and Elizabeth Williams, Alliene was a member of the final graduating class from Glen Rock High School in 1951. She began her career as a secretary at Susquehannock High School before marrying the love of her life, John Coleman, on June 27, 1954.
Alliene was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was known for her warm hospitality, her wonderful cooking, and her unshakable faith. A talented pianist, she faithfully served as a church musician for many years. She also shared her love for the Lord as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, impacting countless lives through her service and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Elizabeth Williams, and her brother, Rodger Williams. She is survived by her beloved husband, John, her sister, Mary Day, and many dear family members and friends.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street in Bendersville. A celebration of Alliene’s life will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 80 Apple Avenue, Gettysburg, on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. A fellowship luncheon will follow, with interment afterward at Greenmont Cemetery in Arendtsville.
Alliene’s faith, love, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to be part of her life.
