Anna Marie (Swope) Baker, age 93, of Gettysburg, PA, entered into Gods eternal care on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. Born Monday, December 14, 1931, in Bonneauville, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Ginter) Swope.
Anna was a 1949 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Anna worked for Dolly Madison, the Annie Warner Hospital, the Migrant Health Center Program, C.H. Musselman’s and was a cook for the sixth-grade Outdoor Education Program for 19 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, gardening, canning, cooking, baking as well as spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Galen Baker. In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by eight children, Charles and Denise (Coffman), Robert and Carol (Schaeffer), Gail and Kevin Sterner, Jane and Thomas Collins, Constance Toeller, John Baker, Timothy and Sharon (Breighner) and Paul and Vicky (Doster); 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Barnes, Helen Kijek, and Rita Perrotti; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Toeller and her great-grandchild, Jesse Carbaugh.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Dugan Funeral Home with Father Joseph R. Howard officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Flohrs Church Cemetery, McKnightstown, PA.
