Anna Mae Thomas, age 66 of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. She was born Monday, March 22, 1948 in Newville, the daughter of the late Jesse Burns and Edna E. (Swanger) Shoemaker, Sr. Anna attended Big Spring High School. She attended the Christian Bible Fellowship Church in Newville. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and playing her computer games. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy S. Burkholder of Newburg, a son, Ben L. Thomas, Jr. of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Carrie Martin of Newburg, Kelly Swartz of Dauphin, Travis Martin of Shippensburg; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Jane Smith of Newville, Janet Radabuagh of Shippensburg and Geraldine Schore of Newville and two brothers, Jerry Shoemaker of Boiling Springs and Jesse B. Shoemaker, Jr. of Newville. She was preceded in death by her brother George L. Shoemaker. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 19 at Christian Bible Fellowship Church, 49 Stamy Road, Newville with Pastor James Moats officiating.
