Anne N. Jacoby

Anne N. Jacoby, age 83 of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Menno Haven Retirement Community in Chambersburg. She was born on Saturday, April 20, 1935 in Lewistown, the daughter of the late Verne W. and Lillian (Wikel) Nestler. For 17 years, Anne worked as an office manager alongside her husband, Roger, who was an agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. She was a member of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg. Anne and Roger raised their family in State College where Anne was active in Junior Women’s Club. She enjoyed working in her garden planting flowers and vegetables and was a lifelong Penn State football fan. Her favorite pastimes were collecting shells and shark teeth while taking walks with her family on the beach. Anne loved her grandchildren and her dachshunds, and she enjoyed being with them as much as possible. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Roger B. Jacoby, children, Linda Rhoades (David) of Mechanicsburg, Marjorie K. Steiner (Duane) of Huntingdon, and Randall B. Jacoby of Charlotte, NC, and grandchildren, Rachel Steiner, Daniel Steiner, Kaitlyn Zimmerman and Erin Rhoades. She was preceded in death by her brother, Verne Nestler. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, May 5 at the chapel of Menno Haven Retirement Community, 2011 Scotland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA.
