Annette J. Bartholomew

Annette J. Bartholomew, age 85, of Shippensburg, passed away August 31, 2023 at home. She was born November 17, 1937 in Buffalo, NY to the late Charles and Annie (Thomson) Gordon.

Annette was a director of nursing, a member of Cleversburg United Methodist Church, enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, especially poker, cooking, baking and canning. She was a Washington Redskins fan and Buffalo Bills fan.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Theo Bartholomew of Shippensburg; sons, Douglas Bartholomew and wife, Gina of Huntingtown, MD and Brett and wife, Patty of Port Republic, MD; grandchildren, Ashley Newton, Carleigh Bartholomew, Kelsie McCormick, John Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Jennifer Novak and great-granddaughter, Oakleigh McCormick. Annette is also survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Wonsettler and Robert Cobb of Bradford. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Gordon.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00am until time of memorial service at 11:00am on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the funeral home. Pastor Ruth Ward will officiate the service.
