Arden "Butch" A. Moore

Arden "Butch" A. Moore, age 67, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his home. He was born Monday, December 18, 1950 in East Liverpool, OH, and was the child of the late Harry A. Moore and Betty M. (Risden) Sullivan. Arden attended East Liverpool High School. He was formerly employed by Pete's Plumbing & Heating. He was a life member of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168 and Oscar E. Hykes Post #223 American Legion in Shippensburg. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, reading the Bible and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War along with two tours in Germany. He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Frances Carol (McKee) Moore. He is also survived by two daughters, Samantha L. Mentzer of Shippensburg and Kendra Craig of Shippensburg; three sons, Brian K. Moore of Spring Grove, Shawn A. Moore of Mechanicsburg and Kristopher Craig of Shippensburg; one brother, Thomas H. Moore and his wife, Nancy Moore of East Liverpool, OH; two grandchildren, Brianna K. Moore and Arden A. Mentzer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and his infant sister, Sherry Moore. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Evening visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 9 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 10 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Reuben Coldsmith officiating. Interment with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 223 will be conducted in Cleversburg Cemetery in Shippensburg. Memorial contributions can be made in Arden's name to SpiriTrust Hospice, 260 W. High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Arden's family wishes to express their gratitude for the excellent care provided to Arden.
