Aurelio H. Moreno

Aurelio H. Moreno, age 69 of Arendtsville, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home. He was born Friday, November 12, 1948 in Mexico, the son of Maria Inez Herrera of Mexico and the late Lorenzo Moreno. Blackie, as he was known to his friends and family, was formerly employed by Peters Orchards in Biglerville for many years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria (Urbina) Moreno. He is also survived by two daughters, Noemi M. and husband Manuel Castillo of Biglerville, Nancy Moreno of Biglerville, four sons, Alberto Moreno and wife Kathy Fuentes of Ruskin, FL, Lorenzo and wife Anita Moreno of Arendtsville, Carlos Moreno and Jorge Moreno both of Arendtsville, grandchildren, Alberto Moreno, Jr., Michael Moreno, Marcos Moreno all of Ruskin, FL, Crystal Castillo, Carlos Castillo, Cristina Castillo all of Arendtsville, Rosa Moreno, Diana Moreno and Lorenzo Moreno, Jr. all of Arendtsville, three brothers, Agustin Moreno, Jesus Moreno, Alfredo Moreno and seven sisters, Alicia Adame, San Juana Cruz, Ofelia Aguirre, Sylvia Moreno, Susana Moreno, Maria Elena Pena and Maria Ines Moreno. He was preceded in death by a son Aurelio Moreno, Jr. and a brother, Martin Moreno - May they rest in peace. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main St., Bendersville. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 21 at 6:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 22 W. High St., Gettysburg with Rev. Father Daniel Mitzel officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 PM until time of services.
