B. Daisy Nash, age 84 formerly of Gettysburg, died on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. She was born Friday, June 24, 1927 in Greensburg, PA, daughter of the late George Wayne Baughman and the late Blanche Smith Baughman Martin. Her husband, George Edward Nash, died in 1980. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Lee Nash and wife, Lidia, of Pennington, NJ; daughter, Melanie Nash Jordan and husband, Jay, of Waterford, VA; three grandchildren, Andrew Charles Nash, Caroline Elizabeth Jordan and Benjamin Nash Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jane Adamson and Carrie June Breegle and a brother, Eugene Baughman. Daisy graduated from Youngwood High School in 1945 and worked in the Pittsburgh area. In 1961, she and her husband purchased a farm in Aspers where they lived and worked for nine years. After selling the farm and moving to Gettysburg, she worked for the Brethren Home Community for 19 years as its business manager and retired in 1992. Daisy was a member and deacon of the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren, a founding member and treasurer of the Ladies' Prayer Breakfast, a member and past president of the American Business Woman's Association, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. In keeping with Daisy's wishes, funeral services will be private.
