Barbara Ann Ball

Barbara Ann (Doersom) Ball, age 95 of Biglerville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at The Gardens at Gettysburg. She was on born July 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. & Mildred (Biddle) Doersom of Gettysburg and the wife of Daniel L. Ball, Aspers. She graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1949. She worked for Penn National Inc. Co in Harrisburg as an underwriter, in later years for Barkers Sue Group, Gettysburg in the same capacity and with her husband owned and operated chestnut hill ceramics and retired from Eastern National, Gettysburg. Following retirement, she worked at the National Park Visitor Center. She enjoyed gardening, canning pickles and doing seamstress work. She was a long-time member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Biglerville, PA.

She is survived by, her brother, John C. Doersom of Gettysburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended relatives. She is preceded in death by, her parents, Charles and Mildred; husband, Daniel; one sister, Francis Pryor; brothers, Charles W. Doersom, Richard E. Doersom, Donald E. Doersom, Frank E. Doersom.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gettysburg Hospital, The Gardens of Gettysburg and The Doersom Family for their care of Barb in her final days. Professional services have been entrusted to the Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main St. PO Box 393, Bendersville, PA 17306. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Biglerville, PA, with Reverend John Weber officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held in the Bendersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adams County SPCA,11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA, 17325 or Trinity Christian Fellowship, 300 E. York St. PO Box 555, Biglerville, PA, 17307.
