Barbara "Barbie" L. Carver Gayman, age 62 of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg with her granddaughter by her side. She was born Monday, January 17, 1955 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Mary E. Miller. Barbie attended Gettysburg High School. She was formerly employed by Chapel Point Nursing Home as a CNA in Carlisle for 15 years. She had formerly worked at SpiriTrust Home in Gettysburg, Gettysburg College and Bethany Village. She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Sue Carver of Shippensburg, granddaughter Tiffany L. Carver of Shippensburg, two sisters, Nancy M. and husband Robert Shelleman of McKnightstown, Jeanie E. and husband George Cole of Biglerville, two brothers, Richard J. and wife Linda Miller of Littlestown, Donald L. and wife Shirley Miller of Biglerville, and many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Kump. She will also be greatly missed by her four cats. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 393, Bendersville, PA 17306 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
