Barbara A. Lynch

Barbara A. Lynch, age 77, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Green Ridge Village Home in Newville. She was born December 24, 1943 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Paul and Betty Whitzel. She worked for Affiliated in Shippensburg for many years. She was known as a homebody and enjoyed her dogs, Sable and Sammy. She loved to cook for her family and spending time with them. She was a member of the South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church in Shippensburg. She is survived by two daughters, Anita (Charles) Lindsey of Chambersburg and Sonja (Luther) Karper of Shippensburg; two sons, John H. Lynch, III and wife Tracy of Shippensburg and Tony L. Lynch, Sr. and wife Kimberly of Shippensburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers; and four sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2017 by her loving husband of 56 years, John H. Lynch, Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Whitzel; and son-in-law, Kyle Kirby. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 14 with Pastor David Erisman officiating. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, Shippensburg.
