Barbara J. Ruhlman

Barbara J. Ruhlman, age 75 of York Springs, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was born Monday, March 22, 1943 in Shermans Dale, Perry County, the daughter of the late Reuben and Helen V. (Strawer) Jones. Barb was formerly employed by Cadbury Beverages, formerly Dufy Motts, in Aspers for over 40 years. She was a member of Williams Grove Steam Engine Association. She enjoyed her morning newspaper with her coffee. She also enjoyed anything outdoors and attending flea markets. Her first husband, William D. Thomas, Sr. passed in 1994. Her second husband, Jeffrey A. Ruhlman passed away in 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret “Peg” V. and husband Mickey Hostetter of Gardners, Joy L. Whitney of York Springs, two sons, Gary L. and wife Sherry Thomas of East Berlin, William “Cork” D. Thomas, Jr. of New Oxford, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Jones of Shermans Dale, Patsy Ritter of Carlisle and two brothers, James Jones and Richard Jones both of Shermans Dale. She was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Campbell and Mary Miller and brother, Robert Jones. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. At her request, no services will be held.
