Barbara A. Shingleton

Barbara Ann Shingleton, age 67 of Biglerville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Community Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. She was born Tuesday, September 21, 1948 in Winchester, VA the daughter of the late Edsel H. Keller and Virginia K. (Barnes) Bryant. Barbara graduated from Hampshire High School in Romney, WV. She collected Indian artifacts, and loved gardening, especially her blue roses. She is survived by her longtime companion, Robert W. Schroeder. She is also survived by two daughters, Rebecca A. and husband Jayme McDannell of Orrtanna, Crystal S. and husband Keith Woll of Lemoyne, one son, Robert Franklin Sears, Jr. of Biglerville, grandchildren; Austin, Brett, Keyaira, Morgan, Faith, Kaitlyn, Jensyn, Jayden and Levi, two sisters Pat Johnson of AZ, Patty Colley of KY, three brothers, Doug DeHaven of Eugene, OR, James Keller of Venice, FL and Mike Bryant of Manassas, VA. She will be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Avery. She was preceded in death by her son John Paul Sears. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. A graveside service will be held in Beaver Run Cemetery, Burlington, WV on Friday, July 15 at 11:00 AM with Jerry Timbrook officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. P.O. Box 393 Bendersville, PA 17306 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
