Barry L. Guise

Barry L. Guise, age 71 of Gardners, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born Sunday, December 2, 1945 in Alexandria, LA the son of Janet E. (Asper) Guise of York Springs and the late Gilbert Guise. Barry graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in 1963. He owned and operated his auto repair business in Aspers for 42 years. He was also the former owner of the Checkerboard Inn near Hampton. He was a member of VFW in Mt. Holly Springs, American Legion in Mt. Holly Springs, and Moose Lodge in Ft. Myers, FL. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patricia M. (Wallace) Guise. He is also survived by one son, Barry R. Guise of Gardners and granddaughter, Erika Guise of Aspers. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 16 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Reverend Tricia Guise officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
