Beryl Ilene Hosfelt, age 90, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on September 16, 1934 in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County.
Beryl graduated from Carlisle High School. She was an amazing wife, homemaker, and mother to her four children. She was a member of Cumberland County Society of Farm Women Group #15 and South Newton Township Fire Company. In her spare time, Beryl enjoyed quilting, embroidery, raking hay on her farm, going to tractor pulls, riding her Massey Ferguson tractor on the farm and in local parades and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beryl is survived by her daughter, Paula E. Maravich of Shippensburg; two sons, Ricky L. Hosfelt and his wife, Cindy of Shippensburg and Roger L. Hosfelt of Daytona, FL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Beryl was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years who passed December 1, 2017, Paul Leroy Hosfelt; her biological mother that passed when she born, Beryl Koser; adoptive parents, Clarence and Mabel (Clippinger) Koser; son, Robert C. Hosfelt and son-in-law, Myles Maravich.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor John Good officiating. A Viewing will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of services. Procession will follow services to Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
