Bessie Marie Sites, age 88 of Fayetteville, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Michaux Manor in Fayetteville. She was born Friday, March 21, 1924 in FreedomTownship Adams County, the daughter of the late George L. and Edna M (Bigham) Reever. She was formerly employed by Fairfield Shoe Factory and later at Sylvania Shoe in Hanover. She had also worked in the bakery at Martin's Dairy in Gettysburg until her retirement. She was a member of Lower Marsh Creek Church of the Brethren. Her husband Dwight E. Sites died in 2003. She is survived by two stepdaughters: Ellen Jane Sites of Thurmont, MD and Anna M. Powell of Hart, Michigan; one stepson, Allen E. Sites of Florida City, FL; two sisters: Mae Sager of Fairfield and Martha Boyer of Biglerville; 11 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Patty Chronister, son Clark Reever, stepson Wayne J. Sites, four brothers: George P., Samuel J., James D., and Harry L. Reever and two sisters: Frances Dick and Eva G. Reever. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 8 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Reverend Harold Miller and Reverend Phillip Miller officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. A viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
