Betty Virginia George

Betty Virginia George, age 92, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Thursday, July 4, 1929 in Zion Grove, PA, as the daughter of the late Charles Fisher and Anna (Ludig) Hostetter. Betty was a member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg. She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Bailor of Shippensburg, PA and Candace Seibert of Lawnton, PA; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54, who passed in 2003, Emerson E. George. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
