Betty E. Mummert

Betty E. Mummert, age 84 of East Berlin, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was born Friday, November 20, 1931 in Gardners, the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Lelah (Guise) Miller. Betty graduated from York Springs High School. She was employed by Bermudian Springs High School in the cafeteria for many years. She was also formerly employed by Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg, C.H. Musselman in Gardners, and McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of Upper Bermudian Lutheran Church in Gardners, Bermudian Jaycees, and York Springs Fire Company Auxiliary. Betty was very active and participated in the lives and activities of her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Luther E. Mummert. She is also survived by her son, Raymond E. and wife Cindy Mummert of East Berlin, five grandchildren: Daniel and wife Anna Mummert of Cheyenne, WY, Nathanael and wife Amanda Mummert of Kansas City, MO, Stephanie and husband Pope Saenmuengma of Chang Rai, Thailand, Timothy and wife Adriane Mummert of Lancaster, and Sharon Mummert of State College and eleven great-grandchildren.
