Bonnie L. Jacoby

Bonnie Lee Jacoby, age 93 of Gettysburg, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg. She was born Tuesday, September 1, 1925 in Moorefield, WV, the daughter of the late Theckla V. (McCall) Johnson. Bonnie graduated from Biglerville High School in 1943. She and her husband had owned and operated Jacoby Transportation for almost 30 years. She and her husband also owned and operated Jacoby's Gift Shop and then Jacoby's Furniture. She was a member of Gettysburg Church of the Brethren. Bonnie collected antique dolls and buttons. She loved children and volunteering at her church. Her husband Donald J. Jacoby passed in 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Karen V. Knox of York, Kim M. Jacoby, Kelly M. Jacoby of Lake Mary, FL, two sons, Donald L. Jacoby of Gettysburg, Kevin L. Jacoby of Biglerville, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Daron J. Jacoby, one sister Mary Catherine Walker and two brothers, Eugene and Ernest Johnson. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4 at Gettysburg Church of the Brethren, 1710 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg with Reverend Richard Godfrey officiating. Interment will be in Benders Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services.
