Bonnie S. Ewing, 58, of Hagerstown, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at home with her husband by her side. She was born Tuesday, May 10, 1955 in West Chester, the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Eaton) Blyman. Bonnie graduated from Aberdeen High School and attended college for two years. She was employed by Washington County Hospital Hospitality for about 10 years and by Washington Co. Human Development as a Med Tech for 14 years. Bonnie started a grief support group for survivors of murder victims. She was the Queen of the Yard sales with her beloved husband by her side. Together they found magnificent treasures and spectacular bargains many of which she gave to her family and friends. She found her reward in the pleasure of giving. She loved cooking, playing games and her pets. Her husband, of 33 years, Curtis R. Ewing, Jr., survives her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gennifer M. Barnhart of Waynesboro and a son, Kenneth E. Ewing of Herndon, VA, and grandsons Seth R. and Logan C. Barnhart. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:30 AM at First Community Church, 24949 Lake Wastler Drive, Cascade, MD 21719 with Pastor Jay Thompson officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening at the church from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Gardens in Hagerstown. To assist the family with funeral expenses, memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
