Brian Peter Murray

Brian Peter Murray, age 54, of Newport, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 9, 2023 at his home in Newport. He was born January 31, 1969 in Hornell, NY, as the son of Peter Murray and Catherine “Cathy” (Noragong) Moyer.

Brian enjoyed working as a mechanic for Keen Transport for many years. In his spare time, Brian enjoyed woodworking, wood burning, hiking and canoeing. He was also known for being a history buff and enjoyed going to Gettysburg, participating in Civil War Reenactments and collecting guns and coins. Brian was also inquired about his family tree history and spending time with his grandchildren.

Brian is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Murray of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Brayden and Aurora Stumbaugh; his mother, Catherine Moyer of Newport; his brother, Brett Murray of Newport and several nieces and nephews.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be announced at a future date determined by his family.
