Carl Nelson Anstine, age 80, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Gettysburg. He was born January 26, 1944 in Washington, DC, as the son of the late Curtis J. Anstine, Sr. and Edna R. (Doyle) Anstine.
Carl graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD. He retired from C & P Telephone Company after working there as a PBX Installer for 29 years. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed wood-working, cars, watching court shows and going to auctions. He also loved his six dogs and always had a dog throughout his life.
Carl is survived by his son, James C. Anstine and his wife, Lisa of Hilo, Hawaii; daughter, Deborah L. Anstine and her spouse, Robert Falcone, of Mount Airy, MD; four grandchildren, Thomas Anstine and his partner, Liz, Laura Anstine, Brittany Falcone and her partner, Aaron and Brandon Falcone and his partner, Miquela; three great-grandchildren, Katiya, Emmy, Saphira; brother, Curtis J. Anstine, Jr. of Laurel, MD; two nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years who passed on September 25, 2019, Shirley E. (Galley) Anstine.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville with Pastor Ben Seibert officiating. A Public Viewing will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of services. A Procession will follow the service to New Oxford Cemetery. Friends may express online condolences at www.DuganFH.com.
