Carla Ann Warrenfeltz, age 74, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025 surrounded by her family at Homewood at Plum Creek Skilled Nursing in Hanover. She was born April 22, 1950, in Gettysburg, PA as the daughter of the late Charles D. Weaver and Catherine E. (Anthony) Weaver.
Carla graduated in the Class of 1968 from Gettysburg High School. After high school, she attended riding schools in Hamburg and Verden, Germany. Once back in America, she worked as an assistant trainer at Petalbrook Farm in NY. Then she worked at Pfaltzgraff Company in Thomasville, PA. She then pursued a nursing degree at HACC in Harrisburg and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Carla retired from Cross Keys Brethren Home in New Oxford after working there as a nurse for over ten years.
She was a member of Gettysburg Church of the Brethren. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, and taking care of her animals. In her younger years, she absolutely loved riding horses. Along with her husband, she enjoyed showing their Morgan horses and won many ribbons and trophies.
Carla is survived by her three loving sisters, Joan Ploutz of Gettysburg, Jane L. Montgomery and her husband, Randy of Ephrata and Diana J. Weaver and her husband, Bill Sutton of Southport, NC; sister-in-law, Sandra Stouck and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert E. Warrenfeltz, who passed November 30, 2019; two brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Warrenfeltz and Leroy Ploutz and two sisters-in-law, Donna Fox and Patricia Baumgardner.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Shull officiating. A Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A Procession will follow the service to Bendersville Cemetery, Bendersville.
