Carol A. Huffman

Carol A. Huffman, age 55 of Green Ridge Village, Newville, formerly of 141 Cottage Road, Shippensburg, PA passed away August 20, 2013. Born April 5, 1958 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late Dana E. and Florence (McCleary) Craig. Carol was a 1976 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School. For many years she was employed by Frito Lay in Wisconsin and New York, and most recently worked at Nestle/Purina, Mechanicsburg, PA. She had a special fondness for animals, especially dogs and will be missed by her little Scottish Terrier, Kera. Carol is survived by her son, Jeremy M. Gehrett and his wife, Linda of Shippensburg; grandson, Shane Michael Gehrett, Shippensburg; three brothers: Robert A. Craig, Harrisburg, Richard D. and Jack D. (Joyce) Craig, Shippensburg; two sisters, Doris McCans and Karen (Kurt) Kelley, Shippensburg. She is also survived by nephews: Michael D. (Amy) Craig, Matthew R. (Bonnie) Craig, Gregory Myers; nieces: Chelsey Kelley, Jessica Kelley and Malena (Anthony) Rosenberry; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Diane Craig and sister-in-law, Sandra Craig. As per her wishes, services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201-8706 or to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
