Carol Ann Simpson

Carol Ann Simpson, 77, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 18, 2026, at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. Born on January 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Gotshall. Carol graduated from Cumberland Valley High School and was an office manager at Hills Department Store for many years. She had a very strong Christian faith and would attend a local church. Carol loved being outside, entertaining her family and friends whether that was in her home yard or pool. She enjoyed going to the beach, flea markets, making crafts and floral designing. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Simpson, Tina Sheetz and her husband, Harvey; one sister-in-law, Kim Gotshall; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Donald Charles Simpson, Jr.; five brothers, William Gotshall, Ken Gotshall, Terry Gotshall, Rick Gotshall, and Tommy Gotshall, Jr.; and one sister, Nancy Decker.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive in Shippensburg. At this time, services will be held at a later date.
