Carol V. Miller, age 70 of Gettysburg, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her home. She was born Tuesday, November 21, 1944 in Gettysburg the daughter of the late Albert E. and Leanna (Davis) Kane, Jr. Carol attended Biglerville High School. She retired from Aneco Trouser in McSherrystown, after 20 plus years of service. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ira E. Lady American Legion Auxiliary Post 262 in Biglerville. Carol enjoyed sewing and knitting afghans for her children. She especially enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Howard L. Miller, Jr. to whom she was married for 49 years. She is also survived by one daughter, Tracy L. Weaver of Barstow, CA, two sons, Bradley E. and wife Jennifer Miller and Michael W. Miller and girlfriend Louise Smith of Gettysburg, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Sandy Koller of York, Laura Ann Kane and Debbie Kane of Gettysburg, one brother, Charles Kane of Hanover. She was preceded in death by sisters, Vicki Short, Darlene Kessel, Barbara Kane and brother, Richard Kane. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 16 at 10:30AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna with Father Raymond LaVoie officiating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, March 15 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 242 E. Middle St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
