Caroline E. (Hanson) Livingston, age 84, Hanover died peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Brethren Home in New Oxford. She was born Monday, October 12, 1925 in Tewksbury, Mass., the daughter of the late David R. and Beatrice (Kaleck) Hanson. She was a homemaker who loved to crochet and stitched her love into the many beautiful pieces she gave to her family and friends. She was a voracious reader of mysteries set in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Caroline had been a member ofSt. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg. Her Husband I. Preston Livingston, Sr. died in 1997. She is survived by the family that she loved dearly,three daughters: Linda L. Harman, Hanover,Ann E. Harman, New Oxford, and Hope M. Wolf, Hanover; three sons: I. Preston Livingston, Jr., David E. Livingston, and John H. Livingston, all of Hanover; one brother Paul E. Hanson of Navato, CA; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons Mark and Donald Livingston and a brother, David R. Hanson. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 14 at Dugan Funeral Home, with the Reverend James R. Speelman officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
