Carolyn S. Mackey

Carolyn Sue Mackey, age 68, of Mercersburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born December 12, 1955 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late John E. Fogelsonger and Betty Jane (Gilbert) Carbaugh.

Carolyn graduated from Chambersburg High School. Carolyn was a homemaker most of her life. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed reading many books and spending time with her grandkids.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Patric Fogelsonger and wife, Kylee of Greencastle; three grandchildren, Landon, Mayson and McKenna Fogelsonger; two sisters, Paula R. Woodal and companion, Bobby Carbaugh of Mercersburg and Beverly Jane McFadden; three brothers, Victor Fogelsonger and his wife, Carolyn, Richard Fogelsonger and his wife, Pam and Stephen Fogelsonger and sister-in-law, Glenys Fogelsonger.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Russell E. Mackey; step-father, Robert J. Carbaugh; two brothers, John and Thomas Fogelsonger; two brothers-in-law, Dick McFadden and Denny Woodal.
