Carolyn J. Shoop

Carolyn J. Shoop, age 87 of Shippensburg, passed away April 3, 2022 at ProMedica Nursing Carlisle. She was born September 20, 1934 in Spring Run, the daughter of the late Merle F. and Mabel D. (Unger) Ludwig. Carolyn graduated in 1953 from Fannett-Metal High School. She was a laborer for Stanley Manufacturing for 13 years, Hoffman Mills for 30 years and Elmcroft for two years. She attended Messiah United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Lyle J. Shoop and wife, Susan M. Holtry of New Cumberland and Stuart S. Shoop and wife, Sandra L. of Mount Holly Springs, grandsons, Kyle P. Shoop of Buffalo, NY and Lucas A. Shoop of Mount Holly Springs and sister, Lyla Gipe of Shippensburg. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, where Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 11:00 AM. Family will receive friends following the service. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
