Catherine A. Herbert

Catherine A Herbert, age 72, of Gettysburg died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at her home. She was born Wednesday, September 14, 1938 in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late Melvin C. and Anna T. (Feiler) Herbert. Catherine graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD. She received her B.A. in English from the University of MD.Shewas a teacher in the Prince Georges County School System for 30 years. She is survived by her brother, John M. Herbert ofGettysburg; two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin C. Herbert, Jr. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Private Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 20 at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Reverend Richard Butler will officiate.
