Charles "Chuck" W. Hershey

Charles “Chuck” W. Hershey, age 86 of Gettysburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Transitions Health Care in Gettysburg. He was born August 7, 1938 in Carlisle, as the son of the late Elizabeth (Hershey) Detwiler.

Charles attended high school in Carlisle. Charles retired from Knouse Foods after working there for over 20 years. He was a former member of Bendersville United Methodist Church. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed playing baseball and watching professional baseball games.

Charles is survived by his half-brother, Gary Detwiler of Carlisle; half-sister, Shirley Bowers of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis L. Hershey and several brothers and sisters.
