Charles Wesley Goodrich, age 83, of Aspers, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on January 25, 1943, in Scranton, a son of Ernest and Evelyn (Ross) Goodrich. Chuck proudly served his country for three years in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. On December 8, 1973, he married Sue Frazier at Camp Hill United Methodist Church. He was an auditor for the state government. Chuck enjoyed reading, giving advice, working in his garden and spent most of his free time volunteering helping others. Some of his volunteer work includes, being his church treasurer, school strategic planning committee, President’s Council Chairmen Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, Administrative Assistant Chaplain’s Office – Adam’s County Adult Correctional Complex, Teacher for 2nd Chance Walking Your Faith Class also for Adam’s County Adult Correctional Complex.
He was a good husband and father; he always took care of his family. He was very spiritual in his faith – anytime not spent with his family, he spent helping others. He was proud of his time served in the military and took great pride in having worked for the CIA.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Steve Goodrich (Stephanie Golden), Jim (Caryn) Goodrich, Brian (Melissa) Goodrich, Katie Jacoby, CarrieAnn Goodrich, Stacy Goodrich (Jake Hockensmith), Tia (Tommy) Wolf; sister, Jeanette Wenkosky; numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and other extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Evelyn; daughter, Tina and sister, Nancy Vandelinde.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral service will be held at Idaville UB Church, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at the church. Reverend Marc Webb will officiate the funeral. Chuck will be laid to rest in the Biglerville Cemetery.
