Charles L. Eppleman

Charles L. Eppleman, age 90, of Gardners died as the result of a fall on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Sunday, October 10, 1920 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the son of the late GeorgeC. and Sarah E. (Hinkle) Eppleman. Charles graduated fromBiglerville High School in 1939. Hewas employed by Reeves Hoffman Crystal Plant in Carlislefor 25 years.He also drove charter buses for Wolfs Bus Company in York Springs. He was a member ofBethlehem Lutheran Church in Bendersville, Gold member of Eagles in Gettysburg, VFW in Mt. Holly Springs, Sons of the American Legion Ira E. Lady Post 262 in Biglerville, Upper Adams Fish and Game and Biglerville Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife Cathryne L. (Trimmer) Eppleman to whom he was married for69 years. He is also survived by twodaughters: Patricia Ann Wright of Elliottsburg, Carolyn J. McKenrick of Gardners;a son, Allen L. Eppleman ofGardners, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.He was preceded in death by his son, David G. Eppleman who died in 1974, and his sister, Ruth Eppleman. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend Robert S. McEllroy III officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Sunday, October 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A visitation will also be held in the church on Monday from 9:00 am until time of services.
