Charles C. Martin

Charles Clinton Martin, age 86, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 18, 1935 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Alvin Clark and Madeline Anna (Kauffman) Martin. Charles was a US Army Veteran and drove truck for Fickes Silo, retired from Pepsi and also drove for Allen Distribution. He enjoyed hunting, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Kay (Noel) Martin, daughter, Debra Tonkin and husband, Robert of Chambersburg, grandchildren, Zachary and Madeline LaPlante and step-grandchildren, Austin and Jay Tee Tonkin. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Martin, sister, Lois Verdier and best friend from the Army, Ray Zimmerman. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. At Charles’s request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
