Charles W. Haberstroh, Jr.

Charles W. Haberstroh, Jr., age 75 of Gettysburg, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg. He was born Thursday, June 9, 1938 in Columbia, the son of the late Charles W. and Dorothy E. "Betty" (Seyler) Haberstroh. Charles graduated from York Catholic High School in 1957. He was formerly employed for 25+ years by Westinghouse Electric and Northrup Gruman in Linthicum, MD. He was a big Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed history and studied the Civil War. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jacqueline L. (Fidler) Haberstroh. He is also survived by two daughters: Stephanie S. and husband Brian Muir of Dover, Krista A. and husband Jeff Myers of Abbottstown; a son, Stephen T. and wife Anne Haberstroh of Phoenix, AZ; two step-sons: Tim Williams of Gettysburg and Todd Williams of Denver, CO; a son-in-law Dave E. Senft of York; eight grandchildren: Ashley W. Laird, Chelsea N. Shifflet, Allyson B. Muir, Kylee E. Myers, Kyle D. Senft, Jillian C. Muir, Brice T. Myers, Gabrielle Haberstroh; five great-grandchildren: McKenzie E. Laird, Logan A. Laird, Katelyn Laird, Cayden A. Shifflet, Madelyn D. Shifflet, and a brother, James Haberstroh of York. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise E. Senft, who passed in July 2013 and a brother, Richard Haberstroh. Cremation services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
