Clair L. Lybrand, age 56, of Gardners died on the morning of Saturday, April 10, 2010 while turkey hunting in Virginia. He was born Tuesday, September 15, 1953 in Carlisle the son of the late Norman D. and Joyce (Beam) Lybrand Sr. Clair graduated from Carlisle High School in 1973. He was employed by S. A. Communale for 9 years. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union Local 669, the NRA and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Gabert) Lybrand to whom he was married for 23 years. He is also survived by two sons: Eric R. Lybrand, Carlisle, Carl S. Lybrand, Gardner; three surviving sisters: Cheryl Croft, Hanover, Wendy Garland, Hanover, Joanne Weidner, Gardners; six surviving brothers: Norman D. Lybrand, Mount Holly Springs, Vernon (Peewee) Lybrand, Mechanicsburg, George Lybrand, Greg Lybrand, Jeff Lybrand, and Cofer Lybrand all of Gardners. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Lybrand. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with the Reverend James R. Speelman officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday prior to funeral services.
