Clair B. Lehman, age 70, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Chambersburg Hospital after complications from Multiple Sclerosis. He was born on September 28, 1947, a son of the late Clyde H. and Mary Naomi (Burkholder) Lehman. On April 6, 1968 he married Eunice E. (Wadel). He served 2 years in Portland, Maine as an orderly in 1W service. He was a hard-working family man, who loved the Lord. Clair was a lifelong member of the Strasburg Mennonite Church where he previously served as a minister and a bishop. Along with his loving wife of 50 years he is survived by his children, Philip W. Lehman (Donna), Joseph L. Lehman (Charlotte), Rachel E. Willis (Timothy), Christine J. Lehman, Timothy R. Lehman (MaryLeta), Daniel A. Lehman (Louann), Bethany D. Gayman (Mark) and Emily F. Fleagle (Darwin) and forty grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Daniel, Harry, Melvin, Lee, and Clyde, sisters, Bertha Ocker, Norma Lehman, Rhoda Lehman, Miriam Strite, and Naomi Risser. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Martin and Ellen Rife, and three grandchildren. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 12, with Marvin Musser, Allen Fleagle, Nathan Wadel and Melvin Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Rowe Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. All services will be held at Portico River Brethren Meeting House, 5501 Fort McCord Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
