Clara E. Shriver

Clara E. Shriver, age 59 of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home. She was born Thursday, April 7, 1955 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Melvin F. and Minerva Florence (Lobaugh) Mentzer, Sr. Clara graduated from Biglerville High School. She was formerly employed by Judy Huff Beauty Salon in Biglerville for many years. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and was a volunteer with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Operation Community Care in Littlestown. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Donald C. Shriver. She is also survived by two sons, Lance W. and Travis W. Shriver, both of Gettysburg, a sister, Shirley Kuhn of Biglerville and four brothers, David C. Mentzer of Gardners, Ralph Mentzer of Hellam, Melvin F. Mentzer, Jr. of Gardners and Richard E. Mentzer of Harrisburg. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc.,111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12 at the Memorial Baptist Church,1096 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg with Reverend Steven Baker officiating.
