Clarence A. Nenninger

Clarence A. "Sonny" Nenninger, age 75, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. He was born Thursday, July 17, 1941 in Shippensburg, the son of the late Clarence L. and Clara (Doyle) Nenninger. Sonny was employed by Cressler's Market for 43 years and retired as produce manager. After retiring from Cressler's, he worked at Wal-Mart in Shippensburg in the produce department. Sonny had his own produce stand at his home for several years. He was a member of Ridge Church of the Brethren. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Marilyn J. (Mackey) Nenninger. He is also survived by two daughters, Cindy J. Emondi of Shippensburg, Crystal A. and husband Tim Rine of Newburg, daughter-in-law Dawn Nenninger of Shippensburg, granddaughter, Heidi J. and husband Roger Gutshall of Shippensburg, grandson, Jeremy J. Rine and companion Kendra Foltz of Shippensburg, great-grandson, Keagan J. Rine, step-grandson, Dylan Everetts, two sisters, May Holtry of Stoughstown and Rosemary Tritt of Shippensburg and a brother, Harry and wife Linda Nenninger of Walnut Bottom. He was preceded in death by his son, Clarence A. Nenninger, Jr. on June 15, 2002 and also by brothers, George and William Nenninger and son-in-law, Anthony M. Emondi. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 22, at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Reverend Harold Yeager and Reverend Clarence Stouffer officiating. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory and also on Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
