Claude E. Chesnut, Jr.

Claude Eugene Chesnut, Jr., age 68, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1952 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Mary Helen (McLucas) and Claude E. Chesnut, Sr. Claude graduated in the Class of 1970 at Chambersburg High School. He then went on Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. He worked as an architect for Newcomer Associates and David Black Associates in Chambersburg. He later retired after being self-employed for over 20 years. In his spare time, Claude enjoyed basketball, going to watch Penn State games, watching the Green Bay Packers, playing cards with his good friends and spending time with his daughter and grandkids. Claude is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kimberly A. (Shetron) Chesnut of Shippensburg; sister, Ann Ziobrowski of Chambersburg; daughter, Amanda Vannote and her husband, Andrew of Chambersburg and two grandchildren, Axel and Brooke Vannote. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 3 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Reverend Barbara Albert officiating. A Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
