Clifford "Dumpy" E. Carbaugh, Jr.

Clifford “Dumpy” E. Carbaugh, Jr., age 65 of Shippensburg, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 on his birthday, at his home. He was born on Thursday, December 18, 1952, the son of his late father Clifford E. Carbaugh, Sr. and surviving mother Alfredia (Brown) Diaz. Dumpy was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending free time hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated antique collector. He would take his family on many road trips around Central Pennsylvania to auctions, flea markets, yard sales and antique shops. He loved his family above all else. The memories he created will be cherished by everyone he met. He was a veteran of United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Christine (Piper) Carbaugh, children, Clifford E. Carbaugh, III and Heidi Carbaugh both of Shippensburg, mother, Alfredia (Brown) Diaz, grandchildren, Clifford E. Carbaugh, IV, Cheyenne Carbaugh, Caitlin Carbaugh, Paige Meals, Ashton Carbaugh, Sadie Meals and Baille Jones, great-grandchildren, Genesis, Madison, Brayden, Emma, Jeremiah, Ryley, Connor, Serenity and Bryson. He is also survived by his brother, Leonard Carbaugh and sister, Belinda Leighty. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Bry Carbaugh. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A viewing will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 21 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Military honors will be bestowed upon him by the American Legion Post #223 following the viewing at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A memorial service will be at the discretion of the family.
