Connie S. Galloway

Connie S. Galloway, age 82 of Gardners, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born Friday, November 8, 1935 in Gardners, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle (Lobaugh) Starry. Connie graduated from York Springs High School 1953. She was a member of Bendersville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Connie loved her family, many friends, flowers, plants, and her dog "Henry", who visited her every Sunday. She loved collecting teddy bears, and was a wonderful cook. She was known for her ham pot pie and sugar cookies, which she shared with the children at Bible School, and many homemade desserts. This is the way she shared her love with others. She was proud of her four children and their accomplishments with their families. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dennis E. Galloway. She is also survived by a daughter, Sheila and husband Jim MacDuff of Manchester, NH, three sons, Wayne and wife Deb Galloway of New Oxford, David and wife Leesa Galloway of Springboro, OH, Roger and wife Deena Galloway of Fostoria, OH, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Keith Starry and niece Julia of Weldon Springs, MO. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 22, at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Idaville Cemetery.
