D. Evelyn Brundzo

D. Evelyn Brundzo, age 90 of Shippensburg, died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Wednesday, January 19, 1921 in Newburg, the daughter of the late Harry H. Hayes and Minnie Grace (Fogelsanger) Watson. Evelyn graduated from Shippensburg High School. She was employed by J. Schoenamon/Stanley for 40 years. She also worked at Billy's Shoe Store in Shippensburg and was also a beautician many years. She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Shippensburg. She was a member of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 of Shippensburg and the Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 223 in Shippensburg. Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother devoted to caring for her family. Her husband Joseph L. Brundzo died in 1977. She is survived by two daughters: Debra C. Rotz of Shippensburg and Victoria A. and husband Clark Smith, Sr. of Elizabethtown; a son, Mathew Brundzo and wife Lisa of Shippensburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by a brother, John Watson and three sisters: Elizabeth Christlieb, Julia Bumbaugh and Florence Sumlin. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, October 21 at the Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Reverend Dr. J. Gerald Greiner will officate.A viewing will be held on Friday from 6:00 PM until time of services. Private interment will be held Saturday, October 22 at 11:00 AM.
