D. Laverne "Lucky" Lucabaugh

D. Laverne "Lucky" Lucabaugh, age 85 of York Springs, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at SpiriTrust Home in Gettysburg. He was born Monday, March 30, 1931 in Oxford Twp. the son of the late Paul C. and Alverta C. (Fuhrman) Lucabaugh. Lucky graduated from Eichelberger High School in Hanover in 1949. He retired from MM Tool Die in Littlestown after many years of service and had also worked at Buchron Tool and Die in Hanover. He was a member of Benders Evangelical Lutheran Church and was an active volunteer at SpiriTrust Home in Gettysburg. He served as a Corporal in the US Air Force during Korea. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doris E. (Bere) Lucabaugh. He is also survived by a daughter, Melissa K. Kisner of Bloomsburg, three sons, Dean W. Lucabaugh of Panama City, FL, Wayne F. Lucabaugh of Hanover, Mitchell J. Lucabaugh of Bloomsburg, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Etta Jayne Lippy of Sewickley. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Kisner. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28 at Benders Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1385 Rentzel Road, Biglerville with Reverend Susan J. McCarthy officiating. Interment will be in Benders Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
