Dane Wagle of Fairfield, age 70, died at home on April 12, 2019, the victim of CJD – a fast-paced neurological disease with no known treatment or cure. Dane was an artistic and talented lover of life. He enjoyed his vocation refinishing furniture and restoring antiques along with caving, photography, painting, creating stained glass artwork, song-writing, and playing the guitar - both solo and with the musical groups he shared with his wife and family friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan (Rogers) Wagle, his daughter, Allyson Wagle, his brother, Bill Wagle and sister-in-law, Jacklyn Prentiss, brothers-in-law, Ernest Rogers and wife Avery, Jim Rogers and wife Sharon, John Rogers and wife Christie, many caring nieces and nephews, and his high-school friend, Thom Dinser, who stood by his side and provided incredible support and assistance after his diagnosis. Dane was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank William and Eleanor Catherine (Huxham) Wagle. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A Commemoration Open House and Picnic will be held at the family home on June 8 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamiltonban Township Park at POB 526, Fairfield, PA 17320, or to the CJD Foundation at cjdfoundation.org or via mail to 3610 Market St, STE 110, Akron, OH 44333. Dane was adored by many and will continue to be loved and remembered by his family and friends.
