Daniel Marshall

Daniel “Dan” Archie Marshall, age 78, of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born April 4, 1942 in Erie, PA, the son of the late Archie and Lena (Spadafore) Marshall. Dan graduated from Smethport High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in Pennsylvania, along with a Master’s Degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. He was employed full time as a driver’s education teacher at Smethport High for 32 years. He was recently employed part-time at H&H Cheverolet. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary in Smethport, PA and Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and belonged to PSEA-R as a retired member. Along with being an automobile enthusiast, he had a love for classic cars. He enjoyed collecting model trains and was an avid history reader. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret (Cionek) Marshall of Chambersburg; two daughters, Jennifer (Lee) Shinaberger of Myrtle Beach, SC and Katra (Hank) Youd of Sanford, FL and a grandson, Tyler Marshall-Youd of Las Vegas. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A Public Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Friday, October 2 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Father Dwight Schlaline presiding.
