Daniel L. May

Daniel L. May, age 49, of Biglerville, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. He was born Tuesday, June 4, 1963 in Hanover, the son of Donald May of Denver, Colorado and Robert and Rose (Klunk) Spurlock of McSherrystown. Daniel graduated from Hanover High School in 1982. He was employed by Hauser Orchards in Biglerville. He had formerly been employed by Daughters of Charity in Emmitsburg and Boyers Nursery in Biglerville. He was a member of Memorial Baptist in Gettysburg where he and his wife Patti taught kindergarten Sunday School. He is survived by his wife, Patti M. (Mentzer) May to whom he was married for 19 years. He is also survived by four children at home, a daughter, Kaila G. May, and three sons, Daniel L. May, Martin C. May, Gabriel M. May; three sisters, Debra Fox and Ruth May both of McSherrystown and Teresa Freeman of Hanover and two brothers, Robert May of Abbottstown and Shane Diehl of Florida. He was preceded in death by his son, Alexander J. May, who died October 6, 2005. Professional services are being handled by Dugan FuneralHome, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 22 at Memorial Baptist Church, 1096 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg with Reverend Steve Baker officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. A visitation will be held on Friday evening, September 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville and on Saturday, September 22 at the church from 9:30 AM until time of services.
