Darlene A. Campbell

Darlene A. Campbell, age 75 of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her home. She was born Thursday, February 12, 1942 in Toboyne Township, the daughter of the late Bruceand Grace (Goshorn) Parsons. She was a homemaker and seamstress who could mend a pair of jeans or sew a wedding dress from scratch. Darlene taught Sunday School at the Concord United Methodist Church for the majority of her 50 year membership with the church. In addition to teaching at the church, she taught sewing through the Path Valley 4-H. She loved listening to gospel music which was a characteristic to the legacy of a life of faith and love. She will be fondly remembered, loved and cherished by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William T. Campbell, her children, Christine Campbell of Concord, Lou Ann Campbell of Blain, Bruce Campbell and wife Dianne of Newburg, five grandchildren, Alex Campbell, Travis Benner, Trenton Benner, Trevor Benner and Tyler Campbell, five great-grandchildren, Landon, Brayden, Annabelle, Mackenzie and Aubree. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Stewart and husband Leroy of Port Royal and her loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clair, Marlin and James Parsons. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Concord United Methodist Church, 24234 Path Valley Road, Concord with Pastor Rebecca Cutchall and Reverend Darwin Goshorn officiating. A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the church and on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Interment will be in the Concord Union Cemetery.
